String Theory Irish Band

String Theory is an exciting new Celtic folk band in the D/FW area that specializes in high energy Irish trad tunes and songs. Ranked in the top 4 Best Irish Bands in Texas by the Dallas Observer in 2016, the band features Celtic finger style guitarist and music professor Jesse Ramirez, D/FW fiddle legend Linda Relph, national award winning Irish fiddler Nathan Kennedy, Bill Zauner on upright bass, and Matt Cook on bodhran, octave mandolin, and vocals.

String Theory is also a duo/trio that performs at Irish weddings and refined corporate events. The band is quite unique in the Dallas area as the only group that can perform classical pieces and orchestral arrangements of popular celtic songs and traditional wedding classics for a wedding prelude & ceremony, followed by an upbeat Irish pub band performance for a wedding cocktail hour and/or reception. String Theory is very happy to announce we have just re-released our CD, self titled String Theory! This CD is the inaugural release from the band and is a true musical delight. It features the amazing Celtic finger style guitar of Jesse Ramirez as well as world class Irish fiddling from Nathan, fiddle accompaniment and vocals from Linda, Matt provides great lead vocals and bodhran beats and Bill kills it on upright bass and piano. It includes many upbeat Irish dance tunes to get your toes tapping, wonderful folk marches and waltzes that shows the bands classical and Celtic training, and some of the most haunting Irish songs you have heard.

This CD is a re-release from the band updated with new vocal tracks from lead singer Matt Cook. It features the amazing Celtic finger style guitar of Jesse Ramirez that will remind many of the work of the legendary Randal Bays. It also features world class Irish fiddling from Nathan Kennedy and D/FW fiddle legend Linda Relph as well as bass by Bill Zauner. It includes many upbeat Irish dance tunes to get your toes tapping, wonderful folk marches and waltzes that shows the bands impressive classical and Celtic training, and some of the most haunting Irish airs you have heard.
